WHO IS A WORKING ARTIST?
Well, probably you since you're reading this.
It doesn't matter if you are just getting started in your arts career, or you're re-emerging as an artist after a long hiatus, or are an old hat at being a working artist to qualify for membership. All you need to do is know that you are driven to create art in whatever way is your art form, and that you have a desire to make it a part of your career path.
One question nearly everyone asks is - am I a working artist if I have a day job that's not in the arts? YES! Absolutely! Membership is not based on whether or not you are a full-time artist, rather it's based on your *need* to create your art (whatever form that takes), and the committment you have toward having an arts-based career - part-time or full-time.
If you're still unsure whether or not this is you, just give us a call and let's chat about it - 503.445.1268 - or drop us an e-mail at wan@workingartistsonline.com
After you've registered for your membership, you will receive a follow-up e-mail asking you about yourself and your art or creativity form, and any goals you may already know you have related to your art. There will also be information on the next steps for getting the most from your membership, who to contact re: your questions, ideas, requests, etc.
FOR STUDENTS
If you are a student in an art or design program at any of the local colleges or universities, let us know and we'll set you up with a student discount.
