MORE ON THE AVAILABLE SPACES:

1) The VAULT - 250+ sq. ft. private office/studio. This was a no-kidding, concrete and steel vault. This space has a lot of square footage, does not have any natural light - so you can completely control the lighting, and the space can be modified by its next tenant for sound proofing. Comes with all the bennies of a regular Working Artists Studios tenant membership. This space rents for $425/month. The photographer who is leaving the space has been there two years, and has loved it.

2) STUDIO 302-C. 182+ sq. ft. semi-private studio, on the western side of the 3rd floor. Great for an illustrator, graphic designer, visual artist, etc. Great vew of the railroad tracks, west hills. Comes with all the bennies of a regular Working Artists Studios tenant membership. This space rents for $325/month.

3) Studio 303-C, shared studio space, 200+ sq. ft. morning sunlight from two warehouse windows, private office with locking door. Best light in the studios. Semi private space - you share with an organized and friendly painter - with a bamboo curtain divder, separate entrance from the gallery. You become part of a network of professionals artists and creative workers - painters/mixed media artists, political cartoonist/satirical writer, dance studio, photographers. $350/month. - 503.445.1268

Here’s the special deal with these spaces – you are joining an arts business incubator, and you become a tenant member. The rent includes the utilities, liability insurance coverage, inclusion in 2 group shows a year, and several opportunities for exhibits/events/performances outside the studios throughout your tenancy. You receive the Working Artists Network membership at no extra cost (a $189/year savings) which gives you access to reasonable and affordable healthcare insurance, event insurance, discounts on supplies, car rentals, services, books, etc., $100 off the Guerilla Exhibitor a course for artists and creative professionals serious about business, access to micro loans for higher risk business (such as being an artist) from $500 to $50,000 through one of our strategic partners, free quarterly business training days, and more.

Working Artists LLC is a social entrepreneurial organization, meaning that in addition to being committed to creating profitable businesses in the arts for ourselves, we also believe in giving back to the community through the arts. Although you are not required to participate in any of our current outreach programs (we realize many of the artists who join us are already donating their time, art and energy to non-profits and social issues), we strongly encourage you to consider participating in one of our outreach events as part of the studio group.

Terms of the lease are first and last month’s rent plus a $50 key and security deposit, 6 month minimum. After the 6 months you may extend your lease, or go month-to-month.
